Advisory Board Meeting Minutes
Thursday, September 27, 2018 @ 4:00pm
Conference Room
Present: Kyleigh Cramer, Teri Ronning, Rod Schaefer, Jennifer Johnson; Tom Richter, Swiftel Center
Executive Director, Jeremy Linstad, Swiftel Center Associate Executive Director.
Agenda Discussions:
Teri called the meeting to order.
The August 2, 2018 minutes were approved.
August financials were presented.
A handout from Kristina gave an update on the events for October and November which include:
Shinedown/Godsmack Concert, Ron White, Pink Ladies Dart Tournament, SD Parks & Rec
Conference, Nelly, SDSU Best Robotics, Bridal Show, SD Local Foods, PRCA Rodeo, Little
Britches Rodeo, Grow by FarmHer, Will, Holiday Shopping Expo, Chamber Ag Banquet and various
meetings. Tom talked about our Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign. The 2019 Business &
Marketing Plan was presented.
Matt was not present.

Tom handed out complimentary emails from clients. He invited everyone to attend the Membership
Mixer on October 18th in which tours will be given of the newly remodeled area. We recently held an
all part time staff training. Over 100 employees attended and were trained on three different items –
SD Department of Tourism for costumer service, Kulture City Training for sensory awareness,
Brookings PD Department for ALICE training. Ashley Biggar will be attending Leadership
Brookings this year. We are again working with the SDSU UPC for concerts (hang posters, staffing,
reduced ticket price). We continue to work with the Police & Sheriff departments for events. The
council passed our 2019 budget.
