Special Meeting - Thursday, September 17, 2020 12:30 PM GoTo Phone Meeting
1. Call to Order: Roll Call - Commission members: Trayce Meyer – Absent, Linda Purrington
- Present, Darla Biel – Present, Kate Treiber – Present, Jean Jostad – Present but joined a
little late, Taylor McKeown – Present, Jamison Lamp – Present, Carrie Kuhl – Absent,
Ashley Biggar – Present, VACANCY; City Staff: Dusty Rodiek – Present & Stacy Claussen –
Present; Other: Ashley Ragsdale – Present.
2. Approval of Agenda: Motion to approve by Taylor McKeown, seconded by – Jamison
Lamp; motion approved by roll call: Darla Biel – Yes, Kate Treiber – Yes, Taylor McKeown
– Yes, Linda Purrington – Yes, Ashley Biggar – Yes, Jamison Lamp - Yes.
3. Action of Bob Shelden Artist Selection Panel’s Recommendation: Darla Biel presented
Jennifer Madden & Jeff Reed’s proposal as the recommended artist for the call for public
art at Bob Shelden. The artist selection panel had met September 8th to hear proposals
and review materials from the four artists invited to submit full proposals. They
unanimously forwarded Madden & Reed for consideration by the Commission. After
discussion, it was motioned and seconded to forward Madden-Reed to City Council with
the understanding that minor changes may be made to the proposal as needed by City or
the architectural firm working on the renovation. Motion approved by roll call: Linda
Purrington – Yes, Darla Biel – Yes, Kate Treiber – Yes, Jean Jostad – Yes, Taylor McKeown
– Yes, Jamison Lamp – Yes, Ashley Biggar – Yes.
4. Adjournment: Meeting adjourned around 1:00 PM.
