1 am concerned for employees. If their employer calls them back to work, and they feel unsafe, they can stay at
home and loose their unemployment. According to the Governor's Secretary of Labor and Regulation at a press
conference last week.

It's time to open our community back up.
Wal,,fi!A, Lowes, Runnings, and Hyvee serve hundreds of customers every day. Despite this, we currently have
zero active cases in Brookings. Why are we still limiting what our small businesses can do?
I work with elected officials throughout our state, and I understand how difficult your jobs can be. With that said,
,vernment should not be regulating whether or not private businesses can be open. Let us open our doors
,,ain so we can fix this mess.

ank you for your time, for your service and your leadership. I have always believed that an elected official
_ ,ould never sacrifice their judgement for my opinion.
We have no idea as to how many people are sick. We are only testing those who are sick enough to go to the
hospital. What we have learned from the US Navy is, that 60% of the positive tests were from sailors who
showed no symptoms. We should continue to keep the most vulnerable safe, as the existing ordinance does.

The city decided that these actions were satisfactory enough to open the city owned liquor store and golf course
at a previous date, while not giving that same opportunity to all the other small businesses within Brookings city.

want to know why now you are stating that Food Service places need to wear masks. We all been open this
entire time and did not have any requirements to wear a mask before so why now are you stating we have to.
don't believe you need to make things harder for business to operate during this tough time we are all going
through. The CDC doesn't even say you are required to wear a mask. It is a recommendation. Its a personal
choice to wear one.
