recurring bills. All present voted aye. Motion approved.
Old Business:
Update on Next Generation: Miller stated the TeleCommunications Systems was awarded the
contract by the State for the Next Generations. Stratton commented they will take care of the
call handling and the equipment which will be installed into the center. We are one of the first
dispatch centers in the state to receive this system. Installation will take place between April
and October.
New Business:
Discussion on 3rd Dispatch Station: Miller mentioned the original plan was to place the 3rd
station in Stratton’s office, however having a wall in-between the other two stations would
make it hard to communicate between dispatchers. Stratton and Miller invited the members to
come over and take a look at the center so they could better understand the layout.
Member Reports
Miller stated Ashley, our part-time dispatcher, is moving on sometime this spring. Ashley is
currently a fill in dispatcher and we would like to replace her and hire a scheduled part-time
dispatcher.
Hill mentioned he is reviewing his inventory list and is in the process of cleaning it up. He has
been communicating with the fire department, sheriff’s office, and the police department to see
if these departments have these items in their position or if we no longer have them.
Hill tested the alarms. They send the signal but do not give a specific location in the building.
Thorpe would like to put public safety apps on the next meeting’s agenda. Hartman
recommended Pulse Point and will be in contact with them and invite them to the April
meeting.
Next meeting: April 15, 2015 at 8:30 a.m.
