A meeting of the Brookings Advisory Committee for People who have Disabilities was held
at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2001, in Brookings City Hall with the following
members present: Kurt Cogswell, Kay Cutler, Roger Seas, Emily Bennett, Amy Fry, Marla
Muxen, David Bertelson, and Nancy Hartenhof£ Members absent: Sue Parrott, Allen
and Lynda Muller, and Dona Kornbaum.
Chairman Cogswell called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m. The agenda was approved
as printed. The minutes were approved.
Next meeting: Friday, January 11`' at 8:30 a.m. (Note Time Change)

Governor's Awards Recognition. Kurt Cogswell and Mayor Herriott presented
proclamations to the nominees for the 2002 Governor's Awards at the December 10`" City
Council meeting. Nominees received a standing ovation from. the audience.
Evaluation of 2001 Activities. The members reviewed each program conducted or was
scheduled in 2001 to provide statistical information and evaluation comments. These
comments will be incorporated in the 2001 Annual Report.
Annual Report. A subcommittee of Cogswell and Cutler was established to work on the
report after January 10t". Thornes will email the evaluation comments, 2001 budget
narrative and 2001 minutes to the subcommittee.
Meeting adjourned at 12:20 p.m.
