ESTABLISHING ANNUAL SALARIES AND BONDS OF THE
ELECTED OFFICIALS AND APPOINTED OFFICERS
OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA
BE IT RESOLVED By the City Commissioners of the City of
Brookings, South Dakota, that the annual salaries of the elected
officials and appointed officers of the City of Brookings, effective
January 1, 1992 shall be as follows:
POSITION SALARY
Attorney $24, 957
Commissioners 7, 500
Engineer 46, 337
Finance Officer 42, 111
Fire Chief 33 , 113
Deputy Health Officer 33, 113
Liquor Store Manager 28,916
Mayor 13, 000
Park & Recreation Director 38, 321
Park & Recreation Director receives $2 , 100
per annum for use of personal vehicle
Police Chief 36, 595
Street Superintendent 33 , 941
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED That all elected and appointed officials,
board members, and designated employees of the City of Brookings in
the various Departments shall be covered by the blanket official bond,
conditioned upon the faithful performance of the duties of their
position, and to account, pay over, and deliver all money or property
coming into their hands by virtue of their position according to law,
in the sum of $5, 000 for each such official, board member, designated
employee, Mayor and Commissioners, and that the bond of the City
Finance Officer is in such amount as provided by Section 9-14-6. 1 of
SDCL and acts amendatory thereto; and
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED That the salary scale and longevity pay of
all employees under the jurisdiction of the City Commission shall be
approved by Resolution for the year 1992 ; and
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED That the pay period will be the last day
of each month.
