MUNICIPAL AIRPORT IMPROVEMENTS
OBSTRUCTION REMOVAL
AIP N0. 3-46-0005-09
BROOKINGS, SOiITH DAKOTA
The specifications for the project do not require that stumps be removed when
clearing trees. As part of the City's negotiations with John Moriarty for an
aviation easement, it was agreed to grind or remove tree stumps on his property
and to cover the removal area with black dirt. The area involved is a triangular
parcel at the southwest corn�r of the road intersecti�n at the northwest corner
of the airport. There are approximately 30 large diameter (over 18") trees and
around 20 small trees.
This change order provides for the grinding or removing of tree stumps and
covering the stumplocations with black dirt.
The additional .cost for the change order work shall be a lump sum amount of
$3,100.00.
