WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Brookings had adopted
a safety policy statement to provide the safest possible working
conditions for its employees and,
WHEREAS, the safety policy statement objective is to promote the
health and welfare for City Employees, and to preserve the assets and
revenues of the City of Brookings,
BE IT RESOLVED to require the use of seat belts in the front seat
of all licensed city vehicles and/or equipment with seat belts and/or
harness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that special exceptions may be made by the
Department Head and Commissioner in charge.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these statements be included in the
City Personnel Policy.
