WHEREAS, the City of Brookings has established a Storm Drainage
Fee under Article V STORM DRAINAGE of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Brookings; and
WHEREAS to promote orderly growth and expansion of the storm
sewer system and to remedy existing storm drainage problems, the City
participates in capital improvement projects.
THEREFORE, the City of Brookings hereby resolved that the
following drainage improvement projects be considered for construction
and/or funding in the order listed:
1. Seventh Avenue storm sewer repair from Third Street to Fifth
Street
2. Concrete pipe across Western Avenue at Railroad Street
3. Storm sewer on State Avenue from Lincoln Lane to Sixth
Street
4. Drop inlets and storm sewer at the intersection of Orchard
Drive and Medary Avenue
5. Storm sewer through Medary School playground from Fifth
Street South to Eighth Street South
6. Extend existing storm sewer from Sunrise Ridge Road to I-29
just south of the Holiday Inn
7. Box culvert between County Market driveway and Bonanza north
of Sixth Street
8. Valley gutter in the unopened alley east of Fourteenth
Avenue from Seventh Street to Eighth Street
9. Valley gutter from Trail Ridge Road to Main Avenue South
through Block 1 of Fishback Second Addition
10. Valley gutter across SDSU/McCrory Gardens from Eighth Street
to Eleventh Street
11. Storm sewer along Seventh Avenue South from Eighth Street
South to Twelfth Street South
12. Valley gutter from University Mall to Camelot Square
Addition along Twelfth Street South
Thia resolution supersedes Commission action establishing a
drainage priority list by Resolution 73-90 on July 31, 1990.
Passed and approved this 25th day of February, 1992.
