WHEREAS, the City of Brookings has designated certain streete to
be included in the Urban System of Streets and defined by the SDDOT;
and
WHEREAS, the SDDOT has designated certain funde, Federal and
State to be used for construction, reconstruation and ma�or repair of
Urban System Streets; and
WHEREAS, the City of Brookings has been requested to establish a
priority list of pro�ects to be considered for funding by the SDDOT;
HOW, THEREFORE, the City of Brookings hereby resolves that the
following pro�ecte be considered in the order listed:
1. Third Street from Fifth Avenue to Medary Avenue
2. Medary Avenue from Sixth Street to Fifth Street South
3. Reconstruct Third Avenue (M3317) from Third Street to Sixth
Street (US Highway 14) with new curb and gutter, three
traffic lanes, new sidewalk and two perallel parking lanes
4. Construct traffic signals at Third Street and Fifth Avenue
5. Construct traffic signals at Sixth Street (US 14) and Third
Avenue
6. Construct four lane street on Twentieth Street South from
Main to Medary
7. Construct four lane street on TWentieth Street South from
Medary to TWenty-Second Avenue
8. Construct Medary Avenue South from Fifteenth Street South to
Twentieth Street South
This Resolution supersedes Resolution No. 72-90, dated July 31,
1990.
Passed and approved this 16th day of June, 1992.
