WHEREAS, SDCL 9-39-15 provides that no members of the municipal
utility board shall receive a salary except se same may be fixed by
the governing body of the municipality, and
WHEREAS, the Brookings City Commission has heretofore approved
Ordinance No. 19-84, which provides in pertinent part, that the annual
salary of each member of the municipal utility board shall be set by
resolution of the City Commission in a regular meeting, se defined in
Section 2-17 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Brookings, nop
theref ore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the members of the municipal utility board
shall receive an annusl salary of three thoueand six hundred dollare
(53, 600. 00), except the chairman thereof, whose salary shall be an
annusl sum of four thousand eight hundred dollars (84, 800. 00),
effeative January 1, 1993, said salaries to be paid from the funds
und control of the board in equsl monthly inBtallments.
