RESOLUTIOH N0. 10-93
SELECTIHG MIHOR ARTERIAL AND COLLECTOR STREETS
FOR HIGHWAY ACT 1991 ( ISTEA)
WHEREAS, the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act
( ISTEA) of 1991 substantially affects highWay funding based on the
Functional Classification of highways; and
WHEREAS, the U. S. Department of Transportation hae set forth
policies and procedures for functionally claseifying the highMays; and
WHEREAS, the Functional Classification System will be reviewed
and updated by January 1, 1993 and revised as necessary.
NOW, THEREFOBE, BE IT RESOLVED that the local elected officials
and officials from the South Dakota Department of Transportation,
affected Tribal Governments and Federal Agencies have cooperatively
selected the minor arterial and collector routes in the City of
Brookings; and
That the City Commiasion has reviewed the minor arterial and
collector routes shown on the attached map and described hereinafter
and approved of their designation along with the other routes shopn as
the new Functional Classification for routes in the City of Brookinge
effective upon approval by the Federal Highway Administration.

Brookings as selected by the local elected officials and officials from the
South Dakota Department of Transportation in cooperation with each other and
effective after FHWA approval.
