BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Brookings, South Dakota, as follows: 1. It is hereby determined that sidewalks are necessary and shall be constructed abutting the parcels and lots of land in the City described in the Hotice to Property ONners attached to this resolution. 2. Such sidewalks shall be to the width and of the materials prescribed by Section 605 Sidewalks and Section 701. 3-16 of Ordinance No. 432 entitled "An Ordinance Providing Rules, Regulations and Standards to Guide Land Sub-Division in the City of Brookings and Within Three miles of the City Limits Thereof° and to the grade and in accordance with the Plans and Specifications prepared in the office of the City Engineer. 3. The City Finance Officer shall cause a copy of the resolution and a Notice to Property Owners to be mailed to each property owner. Passed and approved this 6th day of April, 1993. "_, MA�,9 :� �.�_ �: lga3 :;� M yor S 0 - - �t O �� «.'r`�`tZ`.. ._-- -�..s �--- i � Finance Officer - PROPOSED N01TCE TO CONSTRUCT SIDEWALKS 93-01SWR Sidewalk Assessment NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN That the owners of the lots, tracts and parcels of land in the City of Brookings hereinafter described are directed to construct sidewalks at their own expense by July i, 1993 or to have on file at the office of the City Engineer, a copy of a contract to have the sidewalk installed. AND WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 605 Sidewalks and Section 701.3-16 of Ordinance No. 532 entitled "An Ordinance Providing Rules, Regulations and Standards to Guide Land Subdivisions of the City of Brookings and Within Three Miles of the City Limits Thereof" such sidewalks are to be constructed of concrete to a width conforming with the rest of the block, or in recently developed areas to a width of four feet (4 '0") . Where � adequate right-of-way is available and sidewalks are allowed adjacent to the curb, sidewalks shall be five feet wide. In addition, all specifications are on file in the office of the City Engineer. THEREFORE, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Brookings will cause such sidewalks to be constructed and the cost thereof assessed against abutting property in accordance with the provisions of Chapters 9-46 SDCL 1967 as amended.
