WHEREAS, the City of Brookings has identified the need for
economic development; and
WHEREAS, the City of Brookings proposes to grant funds to the
Brookings Area Development Corporation to assist them in purchasing a
building in order to lease to Prest Rack, Inc. ; and
WHEREAS, the City of Brookings ia eligible for Federal assistance
for the proposed pro�ect; and
WHEREAS, with the submission of the CDBG application the City of
Brookinga assures and certifies that all CDBG program requirements
will be fulfilled; and
WHEREAS, the City of Brookinge has held the required public
hearing on Tuesday, August 3, 1993, at 1 :30 p. m. for the Community
Development Block Grant;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Brookings, duly
authorizes the submission of the CDBG application requesting up to
5310, 000 of funds; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Wayne Hauschild, Mayor, be
authorized to execute the CDBG application for the City of Brookings.
This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
