STREET ASSESSMENT PROJECT 95-02STA
BE IT RESOLVED By the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Brookings, South Dakota, as follows:
The Board of Commissioners of the City hereby declares the
neceseity of construction of the minor arterial etreet of the City as
folloas:
Grading, curb and gutter, installation of Mater and serer mains,
sewer and rater service lines, gravel base course and asphalt

avement on a minor arterial street for a total street ridth of
thirty one t31 ) feet on the street listed beloM:
a. MEDARY AVEHUE from 110' south of Yorktown to Fifteenth
Street South
1. The general nature of the improvement ie above set forth and
reference for detaile ie hereby made to the draMinga and
specificationa prepared by the City Engineer and on file rith the
City Finance Officer.
2. The material to be ueed is concrete for curb and gutter and the
following materials for gravelling of the etreets:
An eight inch t8" ) crushed gravel base course for the thirty
five foot (35' ) wide minor arterial street.
A four inch (4" > asphalt mat thirty feet Mide betNeen curbs.
3. The improvement is substantislly uniform. The estimated cost of
curb and gutter is 510. 00 per linear foot of curb and gutter or
520. 00 per linear foot of street.
The estimated cost per linear foot of streets for gravelling pith
an eight inch (8" ) crushed gravel base course and paving pith a
four inch (4"0 thick mat is 525. 00 per side of street for a total
of 550. 00 per linesl foot of atreet.
The estimated cost of s water main is 815. 00 per lineal foot of
the main.
The estimated cost of a seper main is 520. 00 per linesl foot of
main with the additional cost of 52000 per manhole.
4. A description of classes of lots to be aseesaed is as follows:
All assessable lots and tracta of land lying contiguous to
the street hereinabove described.
5. The method of apportionment of benefits is as folloNs:
The coat thereof to be sesesaed against all assessable lota
and tracts of land acaording to the benefits determined by
the governing body to accrue to all auch lots and tracts
from the construction of the improvement.
6. The above described improvement ehall be hereinafter referred to
as Street Assessment Project Ho. 95-02STA, which shall be deemed
a description of the improvement of the streets as hereinabove
set forth.

� HOTICE TO PROPERTY OWHERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY given to the orners of the property described in
the foregoing proposed resolution that the Board of Commissioners Nill
meet at the Commission Chambers in City Hall on Tuesday, December 13,
1994 at 2:00 o'clock P. M. , for the consideration of the adoption of
said resolution. At said time and place, the Board of Commissioners
will consider any ob�ections to the proposed resolution by oMners of
property liable to be assessed for improvement.
