AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A MOTORGRADER BASED UPON THE PRICE
ESTABLISHED THROUGH THE COUNTY OF HAMLIN, SOUTH DAKOTA BID PROCESS
WHEREAS, the Brookings City Street Department �ill need one <1)
neM motorgrader by 1995; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hamlin, South Dekota, hae recently gone
through a competitive bidding procese for motorgraders, s� rell a:
other equipment, auch bidding procese culminating in the bide being
opened on November 16, 1993; and
WHEREAS, Butler Machinery Company Mas the loMest r�sponeible
bidder under such County of Hamlin, South Dakota, bid process and
Butler Machinery Company i� Milling to sell 1994 model Cat�rpiller
motorgrader� to the Cit��� Brookings under the �eme terms and optione
as aveilable to the County of Hamlin, a copy of euch bid
specifications and bid having been filed t the Hrooking City Finance
Officer; and
WHERBAS, purauant to SDCL 5-18-18, City of Brookings ie
authorized to purchase equipment from upon the loMest responsible
bidder of an item competitively bid by another local govern�nent entity
at the bid price or less.
HOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Brookings Street
Department is hereby authorized and directed to purchaee one (1)
Caterpillar motorgrader from Butler Machinery Company ba�ed upoa the
bid price, or lees, as establiehed through the competitive bidding
process of the County of Hamlin, South Dakota, Mith the unit and
specifications as folloMs:
1994 Caterpillar Ilodel 140G Motorgrader
With all standard equipment, Marranties and guaranteee se
described in the County of Hamlin bid specificationsj together
rith options including but not limited to:

IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that deliver for euch purchase shall be
on/or before December 31, 1995.
