REQUESTING SCHOOL BOARD TO REVIEW
SCHOOL BUSING BOUNDARY LINE POLICY
WHEREAS, the current policy of the Brookings School District is to bus children to
school when they live outside the City Limits of the City of Brookings,
AND, WI-�REAS, this policy is a deterrent to voluntary annexation of property
contiguous to the City Limits and has created difficult situations as the City of Brookings grows,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the governing body of the City of
Brookings requests the Brookings School Board to review their current school busing policy in an
attempt to remove the stipulation of in or out of the City Limits as the deterinining factor.
