A RESOLUTION APPORTIONING AND ASSIGNI1�iG SPECIAL DUTIES FOR THE
MAYOR AND CITY CONIlVIISSION:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Brookings:
That Wayne A. Hauschild, in addition to the duties provided by law as Mayor, shall serve
as an ex-of�icio member of the Economic Development Center Board and of the City Airport
Board and sha11 supervise the Municipal Liquor Store, and shall have under his special charge the
Mayor's Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities, Cable TV Review Board and shall
serve as a member of the Insurance Committee.
That Samuel Artz, in addition to the duties provided by law as Public Works
Commissioner, shall have under his special charge and supervision the Street Department, Solid
Waste Department, Solid Waste Committee, Board of Health, and shall serve as ex-officio
member of the Park and Recreation Board and serve as the Mayor's designated alternate on the
East Central Communications Council.
That Phillip E. Plumart, in addition to the duties provided by law as Finance and Revenue
Commissioner, shall supervise the Finance Office, shall have under his special charge the Library
Board, Historic Preservation Commission and Human Rights Committee, shall serve as an ex-
officio member of the Joint Municipal-County Housing Redevelopment Commission, serve as an
ex-officio member of the Senior Citizen Center Nutrition Site Council, and sha11 serve as a
member of the First District Association of Local Governments.
That Emil Klavetter, in addition to the duties provided by law as Public Utilities
Commissioner, shall supervise the City Engineering Department and sha11 have under his special
charge the Utility Board, City Planning Commission, Board of Adjustment and shall serve as an
ex-officio member of the Hospital Board.
That Barbara Murra, in addition to the duties provided by law as Public Safety
Commissioner, shall supervise the Police and Fire Departments, City Emergency and Disaster
Services and the Human Resource Office and shall serve as an ex-officio member of the Traffic
Safety Committee and as an ex-officio member of the East Central Communications Council.
