AUTHORIZING FINAL CHANGE ORDER(CCO#3 FINAL)FOR RAILROAD SPUR
PROJECT NO. 95-03IND (BOWES CONSTRUCTION)
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission that the following change order be allowed
for the Railroad Spur Project 95-03IND.
Construction Change Order Number 3 Final
Adjust estimated quantities to "as built" quantities for a total increase of$11,073.11.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Brookings City Commission hereby
approves and accepts Project 95-03IND Railroad Spur for Rainbow Industrial Park.
Passed and approved this 12th day of December, 1995.

Addendum to Change Order #3
The following changes to the contract for the above referenced
� project are to improve the subbase under the railroad spur and to adJust
the price of the sanitary sewer.
1. item �1 Furnish & Install Spur Railroad Track Add 95 linear feet of
spur Raiiroad Track at 569.50 per lineal foot = +S6,602.50
EXpI.
The additional track was to extend the spur to the new switch
location. �
2. Item #2 Furnish & Instali 6" Concrete Slab Delete 183 square feet of
6" Concrete Siab at $3.15 per square foot = -$576.45

Adjust plan quantity to as-built quantity.
3. Item#3 Crushed Gravel Base Course Add 1727.37 tons of Crushed
Gravel Base Course at 56.00 per ton = +510,364.22
Expl.
, The additionai crushed gravel base course is to replace
unsatisfactory subbase material encountered in the raiiroad
. crossing through the ditch and surrounding areas.
4. item �4 Asphalt Base Course Delete 122.4 tons of asphalt base
course at S32.00 per ton = -53,916.80

6. Add Item �11 Ballast around drain tlie Add 15.60 tons of baliast at
� one lump sum of = +5762.84
Expl.
Extra ballast was needed around the drain tile which was
extended from the end of the spur to the property line. This was
not inciuded on the plans.
7. LUMP SUM DEDUCTION Deduct the foilowing lump sum from the
project since the Brookings Muntclpal Utilittes dlverted the sewage
flow while the sanitary sewer was being installed. -51500.00

This was in reference to Change Order Number 001 and shall be
deducted at this time.
