RESOLUTION NO. 117-95
ESTABLISHING ANNUAL SALARIES AND BONDS OF THE ELECTED OFFICIALS AND
APPOINTED OFFICERS OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA
BE IT RESOLVED By the City Commissioners of the City of Brookings, South Dakota, that
the annual salaries of the elected officials and appointed officers of the City of Brookings, effective
January l, 1996, sha11 be as follows:
POSITION SALARY
Attorney $34,112
Commissioners 9,194
Director of Solid Waste Management 39,945
Engineer 56,784
Finance Officer 48,590
Fire Chief 43,671
Human Resources Officer 37,768
Liquor Store Manager 33,746
Mayor 14,602
Park& Recreation Director 44,754
Park&Recreation Director receives $2,100
per annum for use of personal vehicle
Police Chief 45,769
Police Chief receives $2,100 per annum
for use of personal vehicle
Street Superintendent 3 8,540
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED That all elected and appointed officials, board members, and
designated employees of the City of Brookings in the various Departments shall be covered by the
blanket official bond, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the duties of their position, and to
account, pay over, and deliver all money or property coming into their hands by virtue of their position
according to law and that a Commercial Crime Policy which contains a$250,000 blanket bond coverage
which is provided for each officia1, board member, designated employee, Mayor and Commissioners and
City Finance Officer as is provided by Section 9-14-6.1 of the SDCL and acts amendatory thereto; and
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED That the salary scale, longevity pay, sick leave policy, and
dental insurance coverage for all General Management Employees under the jurisdiction of the City
Commission sha11 be approved by Resolution for the year 1996; and '
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED That the pay period will be the last day of each month.
