WHEREAS, the City of Brookings, through its Industrial Development Fund, is the owner
of the Wiese Industrial Property consisting of approximately 104 acres and,
WHEREAS, the Brookings Economic Development Corporation has requested to utilize
5.8 acres for further development of the Area Ag Center in Block 3 of Wiese Addition,
AND, WHEREAS the 5.8 acres will be sold at $10,000 per acre for a total cost of
$58,000,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor be authorized to sign a
purchase agreement with Brookings Economic Development Corporation.
