RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING OF APPLICATION WITH THE ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT ADNIINISTRATION, US DEPARTMENT OF COMI��RCE, LJIVITED
STATES OF AMERICA, FOR GRANTING OF THE TERMS OF PUBLIC LAW 89-136
WHEREAS, under the terms of public law 89-136, as amended, the United State of
American has authority to make grants to public bodies and private non-profit organizations or
associations to aid in financing the construction of specific projects; and
WHEREAS, the City of Brookings has identified the need for an Economic Development
Administration Grant in order to assist in the construction of the Ag Business and Research
Incubator Center;
WHEREAS, the City of Brookings is eligible for Federal assistance concerning the
proposed project;
WHEREAS, with the submission of the Economic Development Administration Grant
application, the City of Brookings assures and certifies that all program requirements will be
fulfilled; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of
Brookings that Wayne Hauschild, Mayor, is hereby authorized to execute and file a application on
behalf of the City of Brookings with the Economic Development Administration, US Department
of Commerce, to aid in the financing of the Ag Business and Research Incubator Center Project.
That the above named authorized representative is further authorized and directed to
furnish such information as the Economic Development Administration, US Department of
Commerce, may reasonably request in connection with the application which is herein authorized.
