DECLARING SURPLUS PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City of Brookings is the owner of the following described property:
1-Single story house 1-Building 14' x 32' (red)
1-Building 16' x 18' with lean-to (red) 1-Building 10' x 10' (white)
1-Building 16' x 20' (white
located at the old Brookings Landfill on 22nd Avenue South, and;
WHEREAS, the City of Brookings is the owner of the following described property:
1-Round steel granary 1-Wood granary 12' x 24'
1-Wood granary 16' x 34' 1-Wood granary 24' x 30'
1-Chicken coop 14' x 20' 1-Single garage 12' x 20'
1-Hog house 24' x 32' 1 Hip-roof barn 32' x 48'
1-Two-story house 28' x 36' w/porches
located east of I-29 and north of the Brookings East Water Treatment Plant.
WHEREAS, this property is no longer necessary or useful for City purposes, and it is the
desire of the City of Brookings to sell same as surplus property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the governing body of the City of
Brookings, South Dakota, that this property be declared surplus property according to SDCL
Chapter 6-13.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following named persons are hereby appointed as
appraisers of the hereinbefore described property, said persons being freeholders within the
Municipality to wit:
Nicki Brooks
Jim Peterson
Dan Kippley
