RESOLUTION REQUIRING THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, TO MOVE AND/OR
ADNST ALL PUBLIC UTILITIES ON PROJECTS NUMBER P3273(7), P3296(2), P3301(7),
P3301(8)LOCATED IN THE CITY OF BROOKINGS
WHEREAS, the City is preparing plans, data, and information in accordance with South
Dakota Department of Transportation guidelines to construct the following projects:
P3273(07) 17th Avenue from 6th Street North to 8th Street South
P3296(02) 8th Street from Western Avenue to Medary Avenue
P3301(07) Medary Avenue from 6th Street to 18th Street
P3301(08) Medary Avenue from 6th Street to 8th Street South
AND, WHEREAS, certain action on the part of the City becomes necessary to the
subse uent construction of said ro'ect�

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Brookings, SD that the city will
move and/or adjust or will cause to be moved, and/or adjusted, any and a11 utilities, whether
publicly or privately owned, lying in the path of or conflicting with the construction of said project
within the limits of said city.
1. The moves and/or adjustments will be accomplished at no cost to the State of South Dakota
and will be coordinated with the construction of said project.
2. The utilities referred to in this resolution do not include railroads or railroad facilities.
3. The City Finance Officer is hereby directed to mail a copy of this resolution showing his or her
signature and that of the Mayor, to the Urban Systems Engineer, Laurie Schultz, at the
DepaRment of Transportation, 700 E. Broadway, Pierre, SD 57501.
