RESOLUTION NO. 60-97
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A UTILITY EASEMENT FOR BROOKINGS
CABLEVISION
WHEREAS, Brookings Cablevision has requested an easement to run a fiber optic cable from
Constitution Boulevard to 20th Street South along the west edge of the Brookings Municipal Golf
Course
AND, WHEREAS, the request will result in better service to the public and less disruption
during construction
NOW, 'TI�REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of City Commissioners of the City of
Brookings that such easement be granted and that the Mayor be authorized to sign the Grant of
Easement.
Passed and approved this 1 st day of July, 1997.

GRANT OF EASEMENT
The undersigned, Mayor of the Ciiy of Brookings, Wayne A.
Hauschild, representing the City as owner of real estate described as the
SW1/4 of Section 31-T110N-R49W for and in consideration of the sum of one
dollar ($1.00) and other consideration, hereby grant to Brookings Cablevision,
a perpetual easement, including the right to ingress and egress, to construct
and maintain a fiber optic cable and sub-duct through the above described
property, more distinctively described as the east 3' of the west 43' of the
SW1/4, SW1/4 of Section 31 T110N-R49W.
In consideration of said right, Brookings Cablevision, Grantee, agrees to
repair any damages which may result to the property by reason of the
construction, maintenance or repairing of the said utilities.
