WHEREAS, the Brookings City Ordinance Section 5-21 "Temporary on-sale license for use at
convention Hall" states that the National Guard Armory is designated as a public convention ha11 and
WHEREAS, other convention halls may be designated by resolution and
WHEREAS, SDCL 35-4-14.2 further states there may be issued in any municipality one on-sale
license to be operated at a designated convention hall and
WHEREAS, the Brookings American Legion Post Home is hosting the State American Legion
Convention in Brookings this year
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Brookings American Legion Post Home be
designated as a Convention Hall during June 12, 1997 through June 16, 1997.
Passed and approved this 25th day of March, 1997.
