RESOLUTION REQUIRING THE CITY OF BROOKINGS TO MOVE AND/OR ADNST
ALL PUBLIC LTTILITIES ON PROJECTS NUMBER P3360(04)PCEMS 5164, P3360(OS)PCEMS
5165, P3301(09)PCEMS 5166, P3245(07)PCEMS 5167 LOCATED IN THE CITY OF
BROOKINGS
WHEREAS, the City of Brookings, SD has prepared plans, data and information in accordance
with South Dakota Department of Transportation guidelines necessary to construct the following
projects:
Federal Aid Construction Project Numbers P3360(04)PCEMS 5164, P3360(OS)PCEMS 5165,
P3301(09) PCEMS 5166, P3245(07) PCEMS 5167, extending through the City of Brookings, South
Dakota located and further described as follows:
Intersection of 8th St S and 7th Av S in Brookings, Traffic Signals
Intersection of 8th St S and 17th Av S in Brookings, Traffic Signals
Intersection of Medary Av S and 2nd St S in Brookings, Traffic Signals
Intersection of 3rd St N and 22nd Av in Brookings, Traffic Signals
AND, WHEREAS, certain action on the part of the City becomes necessary to the subsequent
construction of said project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Brookings, SD that the city will move
and/or adjust or will cause to be moved, and/or adjusted, any and all utilities, whether publicly or
privately owned, lying in the path of or conflicting with the construction of said project within the limits
of said city.
1. The moves and/or adjustments will be accomplished at no cost to the State of South Dakota and will
be coordinated with the construction of said project.
2. The utilities referred to in this resolution do not include railroads or railroad facilities.
3. The City Finance Officer is hereby directed to mail a copy of this resolution showing his or her
signature and that of the Mayor, to the Urban Systems Engineer, Laurie Schultz, at the Department of
Transportation, 700 E. Broadway, Pierre, SD 57501.
Passed and approved this 3rd day of February, 1997.
