WHEREAS, on the 8th day of December 1998, there was held in the City of Brookings,
South Dakota, an election for the purpose of voting on referred Resolution No. 95-98 a resolution
declaring an official intent to use a portion of the seventy-five percent(75%) of the revenues
from the one percent (1%)municipal sales and service and use tax for the Downtown Open
Space Landscape and Amenities Improvement Project.
WHEREAS, the judges and clerks of said election have returned to the City Commission
of the City of Brookings the official results for the purpose of the official canvass; and
WHEREAS,the Board of Commissioners on December 15, 1998 has canvassed the
results for the purpose of determining whether the proposed Resolution No. 95-98 be approved
or rejected.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Commission of the city
of Brookings, South Dakota, that the official vote at the Special City Election held December 8,
1998 as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution No. 95-98 is declared rejected by the
voters of the City of Brookings.
