WHEREAS, on the 3'd day of November, 1998,there was held in the City of Brookings,
South Dakota, an election for the purpose of adopting or rejecting Ordinance No. 18-98, and
WHEREAS, the judges and clerks of said election have returned to the City Commission
of the City of Brookings the official results for the purpose of the official canvass; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners on November 10, 1998 has canvassed the
results for the purpose of determining if Ordinance No.18-98 should be approved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City
of Brookings, South Dakota, that the official vote at the special City Election held November 3,
1998 in conjunction with the County General Election was as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Ordinance No. 18-98 did receive the required
number of votes for approval, and therefore the ordinance prohibiting public nudity and
regulating strip dancing did pass.
Passed and approved this 10'h day of November, 1998.
