City Engineer City Hall , Box 270 Brookings, South Dakota 57006-0270 Re: Amendment No. 1 to Railroad Bypass Feasibility Study Dear Mr. Jongeling: Due to the expanded scope of work on the above referenced project, we would respectfully request your consideration of an increase of $14,000.00 in the limiting amount of our Letter Agreement dated July 16, 1998. This increase, if acceptable, will bring the total limiting amount to $40,000.00. If this proposed Amendment to increase the limiting amount is acceptable, pl ease si gn and date the ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ACCEPTANCE and return one copy to our office. We estimated that we could complete the revisions within this remaining amount and in fact, did complete the rewrite for slightly more than $3,000. However, when the City contracted with Lindquist and Vennum, LLC and Parsons Transportation Group to assist in expanding and strengthening the report, the remaining fee of our limiting amount contract proved to be inadequate. Our most recent billing brings us within less than $100 of our limiting amount, and we would estimate that there is $3,000 to $4,000 in additional costs incurred since this last • billing. In light of this expanded scope of work cn the above referenced project, we would respectfully request your consideration of an additional $5,000.00 increase in the limiting amount of our Letter Agreement dated July 16, 1998. This increase, if acceptable, will bring the total limiting amount to $45,000.00. If this proposed Amendment to increase the limiting amount is acceptable, please sign and date the ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ACCEPTANCE and return one copy to our office.
