WHEREAS, on the 1�'day of June, 1999,there was held in the City of Brookings, South Dakota,
an election for the purpose of adopting or rejecting the proposed Home Rule Charter and
WHEREAS,the judges and clerks of said election have returned to the City Commission of the
City of Brookings the official results for the purpose of the official canvass, and
WHEREAS,the Board of Commissioners on June 8, 1999 has canvassed the results for the
purpose of determining if the proposed Home Rule Charter should be approved or rejected;
NOW, TI�REFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED By the City Commission of the City of
Brookings, South Da.kota,that the official vote at the annual City Election held June 1, 1999 was as
follows:

BE IT FURTI�R RESOLVED that the proposed Home Rule Charter has been submitted to the
voters, and did receive the required number of votes for approval and therefore the proposed Home Rule
Charter is adopted.
