' Resolution No. 66-00
Change Order Number 1 for Automated Garbage Truck
Be it resolved by the City of Brookings Council that the following change order be
allowed for the Brookings Solid Waste Collection Automated Garbage Truck.
Change order:Add$5,500.00 for Silent Drive Model 1455
20,000 pound lift Axle.
The lift axle is added when truck chassis and box are complete to make unit legal for
weight distribution.
The original bid on box: $ 63,134.06
Add change order: $ 5,500.00
The final price as per change order: $ 68,634.06
Passed and approved this 25`h day of September,2000.

RE: Resolution on Change Order
The new automated garbage collection truck has a change order for a lift a�le. When a
bid is taken separately for a truck chassis and the body,the exact lift axle needed is then
added after the bid. We received the quote for the appropriate lift axle in May of 1999.
In the past, Ted Kryger did not treat this as a change order when we did the same thing
for other garbage trucks. But, I always was uncomfortable with that approach, so I did up
a resolution for a change order. If you don't think it is necessary;just remove the
resolution from the agenda.
