RESOLUTION ENCOURAGING RESIDENTS TO COOPERATE WITH
INVESTIGATION IN SOLVING DM&E CRIME.
WHEREAS, on August 26, 2000, a tragic crime was committed against the
DM&E Railroad and two of its employees, and,
WHEREAS, great hann was inflicted upon two DM&E employees,their families
and the company that employed them, and,
WHEREAS, a thorough investigation of the incident by Federal, State and Local
authorities is being conducted, and,
WHEREAS, any information that could be connected to the crime would be
helpful, and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Brookings, hereby encourages the people of Brookings to cooperate with investigators
and provide information that may be helpful in solving the crime.
