RESOLUTION NO. 52-00
LANTERN LOUNGE OPERATING AGREEMENT RENEWAL
BE IT RESOLVED by the city of Brookings, South Dakota, that the City Council hereby
approves a Lease Renewal Agreement for the Operating Liquor Management Agreement
between the City of Brookings and Troy Hicks, HalfPint Enterprises, Inc. for the purpose of a
liquor manager to operate the on-sale establishment or business for and on behalf of the City of
Brookings at 303 Third Street also known as the Lantern Lounge.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor be authorized to execute the Agreement
on behalf of the City,which shall be for a period of five (5) years.

� LEASE RENEWAL AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Brookings, South Dakota, as Lessor, and the Half Pint
Enterprise, Inc., as Lessee entered into a certain Liquor Agreement, dated August 29, 1995, and
WHEREAS, the present term of said lease agreement is about to expire, and the Lessee
desires to renew same for a five year term in accordance with the terms and conditions of said
original Lease Agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION OF THE MUTUAL
COVENANTS, PROMISES AND AGREEMENTS THE PARTIES DO HEREBY
CONTRACT, COVENANT AND AGREE AS FOLLOWS:
Lessor does hereby extend and renew that certain lease dated August 29, 1995 for a
period of five(5) years expiring on August 29, 2005.
Lessee agrees to said renewal and extension and agrees to be bound by the terms and
conditions of said lease throughout the leasehold period.
