HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 32-2000 � /' RESOLUTION NO. 32-00 FiNAL PLAT WHEREAS, American State Bank, owners of the hereinafter described real property, have submitted to the governing board a proposed plat of the following described real estate situated in the City of Brookings in the State of South Dakota to wit: Block 1, Patrick's Addition in the City of Brookings, South Dakota, and the City Council of said City having examined the proposed plat and it appearing that a11 municipal taxes and special assessments, if any, upon said plat and survey, have been executed according to law. NOW, TI�REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,that said plat and survey be and are hereby in all things accepted and approved. Background: A house with outbuildings was established many years ago south of the Calvary Cemetery on West 8th Street South. A long driveway from the house ran along the east side of the cemetery and accessed the street. An acreage at the corner of Western Avenue and 8th Street South was sold in 1999 leaving this strip of land between it and the cemetery. Site Specifics: Block 1 contains 5.8 acres dnd has an 1,100 foot long driveway. The block has a diagonal boundary line on the south end which was the primary reason for platting this parcel since it could not be described otherwise. Platting this land will allow an unplatted parcel to be transferred. City Planninq Commission Recommendation: The Planning Commission voted 6 yes and 0 no to recommend approval of this plat contin eq nt upon utility eosements being included over any existing utility lines.
