BRIDGE REINSPECTION PROGRAM AGREEMENT WITH SDDOT FOR SERVICES
VVF�REAS, Paragraph 124 of Title 23, United States Code(USC), requires initial
inspection of a11 bridges and reinspection at intervals not to exceed two years.
THEREFORE, the City of Brookings is desirous of participating in the Bridge Inspection
Program using Brudge Replacement funds.
The City of Brookings requests the SDDOT to hire Banner Associates of Brookings
(Consulting Engineers) for the reinspection work. SDDOT will secure federal approvals, make
payments ot the Consulting Engineer for inspection services rendered, and bill the city ofr 20% of
the costs. The City of Brookings will be responsible for the required 20% matching funds.
There are a total of four bridges in the City of Brookings that require reinspection.
