A RESOLUTION REVISING THE PERSONNEL POLICY & PROCEDURES
MANUAL OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brookings, South Dakota(the
City)that the Personnel Policy&Procedures Manua1 of the City of Brookings be revised to
include the following:
Employees convicted of driving or control of a vehicle, which is owned by the City of
Brookings, while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage, marijuana or any controlled drug
or substance (a violation of SDCL 32-23-1, or an offense in another State which, if committed in
this state, would be a violation of SDCL 32-23-1) shall be terminated.
FAILED on the 12th day of February, 2001.
