ORDINANCE N0. 27- 75
AN QRDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING THE ANNUAL
APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AS MADE POR THE YEAR 1975 BY ORDINANCE N0.
14- 74 AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE
OPERATION OF THE CITY,"AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS , SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. Whereas , by the Annual Appropriation Ordinance for
the year 1975 , Ordinance No. 14-74 apg:ropriating revenu�e for the
operation of the municipal governmen�C for the year 1975 , sufficient
revenue was not provided to enable the municipality to conduct the
indispensable functions of government of said city in that appro-
priations were not sufficient for the operation of the Liquor Fund,
Street Department , Federal Revenue Sharing Fund, Library Fund, New
Armory Construction Fund and Park Fund.
Section 2 . There is hereby appropriated for the purpose of
maintaining and o erating the City of Brookings an additional sum
in the amount of �$153,308 for use in the following funds :
272 Federal Revenue Sharing -Garbage Truck $ 4 ,308
601 Liquor Fund 100 ,000
206 Library Fund 5 ,000
503 New Armory Construction Fund 20 ,000
607 Parks 12 ,000
301 Street Department 12 ,000
$ 153,308
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. An emergency is hereby declared and this ordinane�
is declared to be for the support of the municipal government and
its existing public institu�ions and it shall be in full force and
effect after its passage and publication.
