BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA: I. That Chapter XXII of Ordinance No. 647.be and the same i�s here�iy - amended as follows, to-wit: _ _ � : . KXIY Payment to the City. 1. The grantee shall pay to the City annually an amount equal t4 three percent (3%) of the annual gross operating revenues - -. taken in and received by it on all retail sales af television � � sigr�als within the City dur�ng the yeax, for the use of the . � streets and other facilities of the City in the operation of the • � CATV system and for the municipal supervision thereof. This payment shall be in addition to any other tax or payment . - . owed to the City by the grantee. 2. In addition the grantee sha11 pay to the City, for attachment made to poles .of the City under this Franchise, a renta� at � the rate of THREE DOLLARS ($3.00) per pole per year for � , � the first five (5) years, and subject to renegotiation by the - City a.nd the grantee at the end of each five-year period. . Said pole rental shall be payable semi-annu�.11y in advance ' on the first day of January and the first day of July of each year while this Franchise remains in effect.
