ORDINANCE N0. 24-74
AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING THE ANNUAL
APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AS MADE FOR THE YEAR 1974 B� ORDINANCE N0.
19- 73 AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING� FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR
THE OPERATION OF THE CITY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.'”
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. Whereas , by the Annual Appropriation Ordinance for
the year 1974 , Ordinance No. 19- 73 appropriating revenue for the
operation of the municipal government for the year 1974, sufficient
revenue was not provided to enable the municipality to conduct the
indispensable functions of government of said city in that appro-
priations were not sufficient for the operation of the LiquQr Fund,
General Government Buildings , Street Department and Landfill. �
Section 2. There is hereby appropriated for the purpose e�
maintaining and operating the City of Brookings an additional sum
in the amount of $115 ,000 for use in the following funds :
Liquor Fund $ 100 ,000
General Government Build-
� ings 2y000
Street Department � ,U00
Landf ill 9 ,000
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances , in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed. �
Section 4. An emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance
is declared to be for the support of the municipal government of� the
City of Brookings , South Dakota, and its existing public institutions
and it shall be in full force and effect after its passage and
publication.
