ORDINANCE N0. 21-74
AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING THE ANNUAL
APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AS MADE FOR THE YEAR 1974 BY ORDINANCE N0.
19-�� AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDI�IG FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR
THE OPERATION OF THE CITY , AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. Whereas , by the Ann�tal Appropriation Ordinance for
the year 1974 , Ordinance No. 19-73 ap�ropriating. revenue for the
operation of the municipal government for the year 1974 , sufficient
revenue was not provided to enable the municipality to conduct the
indispensable functions of governmen� of said city in that
appropriations were not sufficient for the operation of the City
Attorney, Traffic Engineer and Street Cleaning Departments in the
General Fund.
Section 2 . There is hereby appropriated for the purpose of
maintaining and o erating the City of �rookings an additional sum
in the amount of $7 ,400. 00 for use in the following activities of
the General Fund.
106-422 . 1 City Attorney $1 ,300. 00
205-426 . 24 Traffic Engineer 3 ,000. 00
401-411 Street Cleaning 3, 100. 0U
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of qrdinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. An emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance
is declared to be for the support of the municipal government of
the City of Brookings , South Dakota , and its existing public insti-
tutions and it shall be in full force and effect after its passage
and publication.
