AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING THE ANNUAL
APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AS MADE FOR THE YEAR 1974 �� ORDINANCE N0.
19- 73 AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR
THE OPERATION OF THE CITY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
B� IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS , SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section l . Whereas , by the Annual Appropriation for the year
1974 , Ordinance No . 19- 73 appropriating revenue for the operation
of the municipal government for the year 1974 , sufficient revenue
was not rovided to enable t _
p he municipality to conduct the indispen
sable functions of
government of said city in that appropriations were
not sufficient for the General Fund.
Sectio.n 2 . There is hereby appropriated for the purpose of main-
taining and operating the City of Brookings an additional sum in the
amount of $275 ,000 . 00 for use in the purchase of land for Industrial
Development.

Section 3 . All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. An emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance
is declared to be for the support of the municipal government of ,
the City of Brookings , South Dakota, and its existing public insti-
tutions and it shall be in full force and effect after its passage
and publication.
