ORDINANCE N0. 24- 73
AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING THE ANNLTAL
APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AS MADE FOR THE YEAR 1973 BY ORDINANCE N0.
732 AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE
OPERATION OF THE CITY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. Whereas , by the Annual Appropriation for the year
1973 , Ordinance No. 732 appropriating revenue for the operation of
the municipal government for the year �973, sufficient revenue was
not provided to enable the municipality to conduct the indispensable
functions of government of said city in that appropriations were not
sufficient for the operation of the Recreation Department.
Section 2. There is hereby appropriated for the purpose of main-
taining and operating the City of Brookings an additional sum in the
amount of $2 , 000 . 00 for use in the Recreation Fund.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. An emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance
is declared to be for the support of the municipal government of the
City of Brookings , South Dakota, and its existing public institutions
and it shall be in full force and effect af�er its passage and publi-
cation.

Second Reading , passed and approved : December 26 , 2973 .
