ORDINANCE N0. 22-73
AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING THE ANNUAL
APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AS MADE FOR THE YEAR 1973 BY ORDINANCE N0.
732 AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE
OPERATION OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT OkDAINED BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1 . Whereas by the annual appropriation ordinance for
the year 1973 , Ordinance No. 732 appropriating revenue the operation
of the municipal government for the year 1973 , sufficient revenue was
not provided to enable the municipality to conduct the indispensable
functions of government of said city in that appropriations were not
sufficient for the operation of District Court , Street Cleaning and
purchase of an ambulance .
Section 2 . There is hereby appropriated for the purpose of main-
taining and operating the City of Brookings an additional sum in the
amount of $16 ,900 . 00 for use in the General Fund :
101-208 Ambulance and Equipment $ 14 ,200 . 00
101-103 District Court 700 . 00
101-401 Street Cleaning 2 ,000 . 00
Section 3 . All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4 . An emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance is
declared to be for the support of the municipal government of the City
of Brookings , South Dakota, and its existing public institutions and it
shall be in full force and effect after its passage and publication.
