AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 36-19 OF THE REVISED
ORDINANCES OF BROOKINGS PERTAINING TO WEED CONTROL. -
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF
BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA: - -
I. That Section 36e19 of the Revised Ordinanc�s of
Brookings be and the same is hereby amended to
read as follows:
Sec. 36a19. Action Upon Noneompliance.
Upon failure, neglect or reiusal of any owner, `
agent or occupant notified to comply with the provisions
of this article within five (5) da.ys after the mailing there-
of, the commissioner of streets and public property is
hereby authorized and empowered to provide for� the cutting,
destroying or removal of such weeds, grass or deleteri�
ous, unhealthful growths or other noxious matter and �a de-
fray the cost of the destruction thereof by special
assessment against the property.
II. This Ordinance is necessary for the imrnediate preservati�
of the public health and shall take effect upon the pas.sage and
publication thereof.
III. That any and all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict
herewith a,re hereby repealed.
