�P�ROPRIATTON ORDINANCE AS MADfl �OR THE YEAR 1978 BY ORDINANCE N0.
15�.77 AND �OA THE �URPOSE 0� PROVIDTNG FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR -
TH� ���!'�"°OF THE CITY," AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS , SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1 . Whereas , by the Annual Appropriation (�rdinance
for the year 1978 , Ordinance No. 15-77 appropriating revenue for
the operation of the municipal government for the year 1978 , suffi-
cient revenue was not provided to enable the municipality to
conduct the indispensabl.e functions of government of said Eity in
that appropriations we�e not sufficient for the Police Department ,
Fire �epartment, Park and Recreation and Telephone Funds .
Section 2 . There is hereby appropriated for the purpose of
maintaining and o erating the City of Brookings an additional sum
in the amount of �211 ,000 for use in the following funds :
101 General Fund . "

202 F�re Department . . . . . . . . . . . 5,000
210 Park � Recreation Fund . . . . . . . . . . . . 25 ,000

Section 3 . All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con£,lict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4 . An emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance
is declared to be for the support of the municipal government and
its existing public institutions and it shall be in full foree and
effect after its passage and publication.
