AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN 4RDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING THE
ANNUAL AP�ROPRIATION ORDINANCE AS MADE FOR THE YEAR 1978 BY
ORD I NANCE N0. ]�5-7 7 ' AND FOR THE P�IRPOSE OF PROUI���ING FOR
ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE OPER.ATION OF THE CITY," AND DECLAR-
ING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED .BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1 . i�h�reas , by t�e An�tual Appropriation for; the
year 1978 , Ordinance No. 15-77 apprbp`riating revenue for the
operation of the municipal government for the year 1978,
sufficient revenue was not provided to enable the municipality
to conduct the indispensable functions of government of said
City in that appropriations were not sufficient for the Capital
Project Funds and Bond � Sinking Funds .
Section 2 . There is hereby appropriated for the purpose
of maintaining and operating the City of Brookings an additional .
sum in the amount of:
503-430 $ 116,000 Senior Citizens Center
504-430 184 ,280 Fire Station
301-440 21 ,800 Hospital Bond $ Sinking
Section 3 . All ordinances or parts of ordinances in com-
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. An emergency is hereby declared and this ordi-
nance is declared to be for the support of the municipal government
of the City of Brookings , South Dakota, and its existing public
institutions and it shall' be in full force and effect after� its
passage and publication.

Second reading, passed and approved : March 7 , 1978.
