OPER.ATION OF THE C'�TY",, AN�:DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.'

Section 1 . Whereas , by the Annual Appropriation Ordinance for
the year 1977 , ..Qrdinance. No;.' 13;7� appropriating revenue for the
operation of the munieip�l. �'g-avernment for the year 1977; sufficient
revenue was not provide�. tto• enable the municipality to conduct the
indispensable functio'ir�' .of ,;g�overnment of said city in that appropri-
ations were not suf#��.,�i.�e�t. .for the Finance Office , Attprney, ;Folice
Department , Fire Departmie`nt , Snow Removal , Health Department and the
Library.
Section 2 . There is hereby appropriated for the purpose of
maintaining and operating the City of Brookings an additional sum
in the amount of $45 , 700 . 00 for use in the following funds :

Section 3 . All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict `
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4 . An emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance
is declared to be for the support of the municipal government and
its existing public instituions and it shall be in full force and
effect after its passage and publication.
