ORDINANCE NO. 23-81
AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING THE
ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AS MADE FOR THE YEAR 1981 BY
ORDINANCE NO. 31-80 AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOR ADDI-
TIONAL FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION OF THE CITY", AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. WHB'REAS, by the Annual Appropriation for the
year 1981, Ordinance No. 31-80 appropriating revenue for the
operation of the municipal government for the year 1981, suf-
ficient revenue was not provided to enable the municipality to .
conduct the indispensable functions of government of said City
in that appropriations were not sufficient for the 1981-2 Street
Improvement Fund.
Section 2. There is hereby appropriated for the purpose
of maintaining and operating the City of Brookings an additional
sum in the amount of $82, 000 for use in the 1981-2 Street Im-
provement Fund.

Section 3. Al1 ordinan'ces "or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. An emergency is hereby declared and this ordin-
ance is decl ared to be "fot the support of the municipal government
of the Cit�_ of°"Brookings, South. Dakota, and its existing public
institutions and it' shall be in full force and effect after its
passage and publication,
