ORDINANCE NO. 1-81
AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING THE
ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AS MADE FOR THE YEAR 1981 BY
ORDINANCE NO. 31-80 AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOR AD13T-
TIONAL FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION OF THE CITY" , AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS , SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. Whereas, by the Annual Appropriation for the
year 1981, Ordinance No. 31-80 appropriating revenue for the
operation of the municipal government for„ the year 1981, did not
include use of Federal Revenue Sharing Furids as these funds were
not appropriated or authorized by the Congre�ss of the United
5tates. , `
Section 2 . Federal Revenue Sh�ring has now been approved
and funds will be received in the year 1981 of appro�imately
$125, 000, and approximately a� balance of $6Q,000 is remaining in
the Federal Revenue Sharing Fund as of December 31, 1980, which
totals appro�timately $185,000. A .:
Section 3. There is hereby appropriated for 1981 Federal
Revenue Sharing Funds for the following accounts:
200 Special Revenue Funds ,

415.3 Finance Office $ 5,000

Section 4. Al1 Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 5. An emergency is hereby declared and this Ordinance
is declared to be for the support of municipal government of the
City of Brookings, South Dakot�, and it shall be in full force and
effect after its passage and publication.
